# Briefing
Often, product listing optimisation involves working with internal or external "authors" who are not (yet) experts about the product to be optimised. Therefore, it is crucial for a good optimisation to provide the author/optimiser with all the information he/she needs to successfully carry out an optimisation. A good briefing should contain at least the following information:
- Who is the customer? How should he/she be addressed?
- What makes the product unique?
- What does the product look like (pictures)?
- What problem does the product (not) solve?
- Who are the main competitors?
- Which keywords must/should not be included in the listing in any case?
- What are the correct technical specifications of the product?
- Are there statements about the product that should be avoided at all costs (e.g. healing statements)?
This data should be obtained at the beginning of the optimisation and stored in a central place.
In AXOLIST you can store this information in the Briefing section.
